In April 2020, the fundraising platform Just Giving set up the 2.6 challenge as a new ‘virtual’ event as the COVID-19 pandemic had a catastrophic effect on charities with the cancellation of events and the loss of income through fundraising. Absolute Classics’ Education Coordinator, Narelle Freeman took up this challenge by practicing piano for 26 minutes a day.

In support of Narelle’s challenge, she received ‘Top Practice Tips’ advice from a number of fabulous professional musicians including Anna Fedorova, Nicky Spence and Oxana Shevchenko. All of their videos can be seen at Absolute Classics’ YouTube channel for the 2.6 Practice Challenge.

At the end of the challenge Narelle posted a final virtual performance to show the results of all her hard work, which you can view through this link to her facebook page.
