2017 Workshops – Quartet

During 2017, Absolute Classics brought the Aurea Quartet to D&G for a tour of stunning concerts and while they were here we organised for them to provide a number of successful workshops for local young music students, which explored more advanced aspects of musicianship. Feedback from the teachers demonstrates that our Education and Outreach programme is highly valued locally, and works to enrich the school curriculum:

“Thank you for a superb series of sessions this morning. By my reckoning 110 students ranging from 12-18 benefited from the programme. There is a massive enthusiasm, particularly from the older students. Interestingly, this is centred on the Bartok piece of which they heard a section at the end.  I am delighted by this and they seemed to have really grasped the evolution of the compositional style of the Quartet. Many thanks for being so responsive to the needs of the varying levels of understanding of the students. We remain hugely grateful for the superb standard of musicianship and ongoing support that we receive from Absolute Classics.”
