2016/17 Games Music Composition Course – Recording

After the final concert for our first Games Music Composition Course, the young composers’ pieces were arranged for a live ensemble recording, which took place at Annan Academy in June 2017. This provided the young composers with the opportunity to experience their pieces being professionally recorded and in addition, they now have a CD of their work which they can include in their CV.

“It was a really exciting experience and really cool to be a part of.”

“At the end of it I had something to be able to present to somebody later on.”

“I really enjoyed the whole experience. It was great to hear what we had created on computer software being played by a live band. It really topped off the whole experience.”

A Journey of Echoes – the album is available through the following link to soundcloud:

Recording the Games Music Compositions

Our first ever games music composition project was an amazing success as the young participants told us it was a 'once in a lifetime opportunity' and one that they hoped could be given to others. Can you help us provide professional mentorship for more young people across Dumfries & Galloway?
